BIOGRAPHY
Jack Gabig
Jack has been involved in youth and young adult ministries in the U.S. and U.K. for more than 23 years. As an ordained Anglican priest, Jack has spent time looking at the role of popular culture in the religious lives of American teenagers. He's director of the Young Anglicans Project with the Anglican Communion Network, encouraging a rethinking of the nature of Christian Education in Anglican churches in North America. Additionally, he is a faculty member of both Trinity and Nashotah House Anglican Seminaries.

Our bodies are a very important part of prayer. Through our body language, we communicate to God. Even if we aren’t cognizant of what our bodies are saying about how we feel about God—they’re speaking volumes. All through the Scripture we see examples of people using their bodies to communicate to God. Start your day by learning and practicing how to fully engage your body in prayer to God through your hands, feet, bodily postures, the orant gesture, the sign of the cross, and more.

Sometimes we beat ourselves up for not having the ideal spiritual life or not having a relationship with God that resembles someone else’s. Perhaps we just aren’t paying enough attention to the intricate interplay between our personality and our own spirituality. In this seminar we’ll consider issues related to temperament, wiring, and spirituality experimenting with a variety of ancient Christian contemplative practices to see which might help us grow closer in intimacy with the Risen Lord Jesus who is present and actively involved in our everyday wake-up, walk-around, work-a-day world.
