Lilly Lewin

As a worship consultant, Lily is the curator of thinplace, where she helps leaders think creatively about worship, teaching and youth ministry. In Cincinnati, she started an experiential worship service called Sacred Space, which uses multi-sensory prayer, silence, art, discussion and multi media, integrating ancient and future forms of worship to bring liturgy new life. In 2004, she helped found Map Room; an ecumenical experiential worship community for college and post college adults in and around the University of Cincinnati. Lily's the coauthor of the recent YS release Sacred Space.

SCHEDULE FOR PITTSBURGH

Creating Multi-Sensory Worship Experiences in Your Youth Ministry
(Seminar Series #2)
Nov 1 8:00 AM-9:30 AM
Pittsburgh

Today we live in a culture that needs to engage the story of God. The students in our youth ministries need to see how their stories relate to Scripture and to learn in ways beyond just listening with their ears. Jesus taught his disciples “along the way” as they were traveling and living life together. Jesus used everyday people, places, and things to teach spiritual truth. Jesus used the sights, sounds, tastes, and so on to tell God’s story.
